Melissa Reed

From Principal, Debbie Clark:

Melissa Reed is a 1st grade teacher at Oak Point Elementary.  She is a passionate, caring, supportive teacher who makes all of her students feel important and successful every day. Her classroom is always warm, welcoming, and a nurturing environment.  She takes the time to learn how each one of her students learn, what their strengths and weaknesses are, what motivates them, what scares them, and their likes and dislikes.  She is a leader and a friend.  Her heart and actions truly exemplify the qualities of a great teacher.  We are truly fortunate to have Melissa as part of our team and as Oak Point Elementary’s 2015 Teacher of the Year.

From Principal, Debbie Clark:

Brenda Adame is a special education paraprofessional at Oak Point Elementary.  She is a role model, an advocate, and a team player.  She builds relationships and empathizes with each student: recognizing and supporting academic and social needs, acknowledging and celebrating individual successes, always going the extra mile to support students and staff.  We are proud to have Brenda a member of our team and excited to bestow this honor on her as Oak Point Elementary’s 2015 Para-Professional Lobo Team Member of the Year.

Artemio Costillo

From Principal, Debbie Clark:

Artemio Costillo is the head custodian at Oak Point Elementary.  He is always positive, has a great attitude, and does his job with a smile.  He finds time at lunch to talk with the students and make them feel proud of themselves.  He is a team player for the entire school, very supportive of the custodial staff, and truly understands the art of being a family.  He is truly a great leader and we proud to have Artemio as Oak Point Elementary’s 2015 Auxiliary Lobo Team Member of the Year.
