Principal

Bernadette White is proud to serve as Principal of OPE, where she has been part of the leadership team for four years—two as Principal and two as Assistant Principal. With 15 years in education and six years in administration, Dr. White has worked in several Texas districts and began her career as a bilingual Pre-K teaching assistant. She holds a B.A. in English and Linguistics from UT Austin, two Master’s degrees in TESOL and Educational Leadership, and recently earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, focusing her research on two-way dual-language programming. Dr. White is dedicated to supporting the OPE community and advancing dual-language and elementary education.
